Dianne Lopez is dealer 1560 at King Richard's. You will find mid-Century as well as antiques. "I'm trying to find what the new buyers want." There is antique furniture as well as knick-knacks and purses. There is amber glass and depression glass, plates and glass pie sets in yellow and amber and old clear glasses with silver and gold inlays.
Diane says young shoppers are looking for a lot of stuff from the 1970s and 1980s including bright colored items, daisy and bright colored paintings and artwork, beaded pieces and glass jewelry boxes with dried flowers and silver borders. Wooden items are popular.
This booth is on the mail floor and it is painted yellow to go with the items from the 1970s and 80s.
You'll also find gold-rimmed wine glasses. But this store is definitely trending towards what younger shoppers are looking for. "They are into recycling items now. They look for things for their places now and they are more conscious of the environment so not everything they want has to be new."
Just in -- a cool brass table about the size of a coffee table. It's circular and has a brass top on short wooden legs. It's probably mid-Century. There is also a bar cart and these are very popular among collectors. Some use bar carts in a man's cave or as a piece in a kitchen or living room.
